Straight guys have the wierdest traditions…but god damn looking at these photos gave me a chubby! HA!
The Herndon Monument Climb traditionally marks the end of the freshman, or Plebe, year at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. The class, numbering over 1000, has a final challenge: scale the Herndon Monument, and replace the Plebe beanie at the top with a Midshipman’s cap. The monument has been liberally coated with lard the evening before by upperclassmen, who also helpfully spray water on the plebes during the climb.
